Diese vertikale Umreifungsmaschine besitzt eine verfahrbare untere Bandführung, die eine Umreifung durch den Doppelboden einer Palette erlaubt. Durch das Transportorgan wird die Palette in der ersten Umreifungsposition angehalten. Über einen Elektromotor, versehen mit Rutschkupplung, wird der zurückgezogene Bandkanal geschlossen. Der Umreifungskopf fördert das Band, das vom Bandabroller abgezogen wird, in den Bandführungskanal rund um die Palette. Um einen "widerstandslosen" Abzug zu erhalten, ist ein Bandspeicher zwischengeschaltet. Dies schont nicht nur den Antrieb am Bindekopf, sondern auch das Förder- und Transportrad.
